Striped Light Shadows

My path into psychology began with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology in Iran, where I was born and raised. After moving to the Netherlands and going through life transitions, including adapting to a new culture and becoming a mother, I chose to continue my professional development. I later completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Alongside my academic training, I have gained experience in both research and clinical settings, allowing me to connect psychological knowledge with practical, person-centred work. My path has not been linear, but across different roles, my work has consistently focused on people.

In my work, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy to support clients in understanding not only their current difficulties, but also the deeper patterns that may be shaping them. I also take into account the influence of environment and culture on each person’s experience. I approach each client as an individual, without a one-size-fits-all approach.

Clients often come with experiences such as anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, or a sense of feeling stuck — particularly during times of transition, relocation, or changes in relationships. Together, we work toward greater understanding, emotional balance, and a way forward that feels more manageable.
